Jesus’ hands in the world – what we’re doing now

Saint David’s supports our community in several ways. The church and its members support and participate in Multi-Faith Groups, Saint David’s Events, which include donation and community support and traditional Outreach  projects.

Often the announcement time at the end of an inspiring service invites us to respond to the message, “The worship has ended, let the service begin” in one or more of these ways.

Multi-faith Groups

CodFISH (Community of DeWitt Friends in Service Here) provides Volunteer transport to medical and dental appointments for residents of the Town of DeWitt.

Meals on Wheels of Eastern Onondaga County  – Prepares and delivers  nutritious meals to anyone who, for any reason, is in need of such a service to remain independent in their own homes

Interfaith Works Center for New Americans  – Supporting refugee families’ transition to citizens.

Saint David’s Events

Celebration of the Arts – Art, music and performances are offered to the community, for no cost or a small suggested donation. After the Celebration, the committee decides upon a community program to receive a donation to help children experience art.

2017 Celebration recipient – Everson Art Museum’s Summer Art Camp
2016 Celebration recipient – Syracuse Children’s Chorus

Kids Go Shopping – (Children’s Christmas Bazaar), – Where only children can shop for gifts for their family and friends at a very affordable price.

Garage Sale – After the sale, goods are offered to groups such as the Center for New Americans and the Rescue Mission.

Outreach Projects

Serving Samaritan Center meals – Saint David’s usually funds and serves a meal twice a year. This is popular service project for teens.

The Giving Tree – Christmas gifts are requested and donated. We have supported the Children’s Consortium and the Huntington Family Center in recent years.
